Design
Concept
One of my (as yet unachieved) goals has always been to make a piece that shows as much restraint as a Mark Rothko painting. This was a small step in that direction. The top was made from a single, eight-foot piece, of hand-painted fabric. The back and binding are from my Splash collection for Benartex.
The quilting was done in organic patterns, which make the circles look like part of a microscopic organism.
