Design Concept

Out of the Blue 4 is one of a series of curved composition studies, in which I am playing with positive and negative spaces,and the juxtaposition of pattern and color. The fabrics come from several different fabric collections which I designed for Benartex. Out of the Blue #4 was quilted with many different colors of polyester top stitching thread in various organic pattern, and parallel curving lines.
