Today I heard a strange noise at the back of my building and looked
out to find bulldozers beginning to clear the vacant property just
this side of the flood wall for the new city pavilion that will
house many of the vendors during the April AQS show in Paducah.
If you have attended the AQS show in the past, you will recognize
the Executive Inn in the background on the other side of the flood
wall. It has been purchased by the city and will be torn down later
this year. It will not be open for the 2010 show, but the newly
renovated convention center and expo center will be housing the
show as usual. The pavilion will provide much better space for the
vendors who were in the pool area in past years.
This picture was taken from my second floor balcony. If you are
coming to the show, please stop in at our shop and gallery. In this
picture, you can see how close we are to the show.
