During 2013 Caryl will be taking a sabbatical from teaching studio workshops while she creates new work for a solo exhibition celebrating 30 years of making art quilts. The only currently scheduled workshops in 2013 are two five-day sessions at Empty Spools Seminars at Asilomar in February and March, 2013. Caryl will be happy to host groups wanting to organize retreats at the Bryerpatch Studio during 2013. Click here for retreat information. |
| In the meantime, Caryl offers many of her workshop presentations on CD. These are available through our Internet Store. |

Bryerpatch Studio:
 |
After twenty-five years of teaching
in eleven countries on five continents,
Caryl built her dream studio/home/workshop
center in Paducah, KY (Quilt City USA)
where you will find a state of the art
classroom facility with comfortable
accomodations, and lots of positive
energy. The Bryerpatch Studio is a smoke-free
and perfume-free facility. Please be
considerate of classmates who may be
sensitive and leave perfumes or other
scented toiletries at home. We are wheel-chair
accessible. You can park within a few
feet of our doors to unload and roll
your machines and supplies into the
classroom. Our 900 square foot classroom
has full spectrum lighting and is wired
to handle irons and sewing machines.
Each student will have a 2 x 4 foot
table and easy access to large cutting
mats and ironing boards in the classroom.
Extra space for cutting and drawing
is also available in our dye studio/classroom
annex. Irons and cutting mats will
be provided, so you don't need to
bring your own.

Sewing
machines: |
| A limited number of Bernina sewing
machines will be available on a first
come first served basis for participants
who cannot fly with their own machines.
Rental fee is $10.00 per day. If more
machines are needed, we can put you
in touch with a local machine dealer
for machine rental. If you drive, we
recommend that you bring your own machine.
If you need to rent a machine, please
let us know ahead of time so we can
reserve one for you. |

is open at 8am every day for muffins,
cereal and yogurt, bagels, and sometimes

provided each day a few feet from the
classroom in Caryl's
kitchen. Lunches will include a
green salad, homemade cookies and sandwiches
of your choice from local caterers.
Dinner: We have many good (non-franchise)
restaurants within walking distance
